Hi my name is Brónagh and I made this site for my dad Paul, who founded Kells in San Francisco, all on his own in 1999.

My dad is the reason I truly believe in the American Dream. He immigrated from Belfast Ireland to Seattle and started working in the bar business. Then, he finally decided to pack his bags and open his own bar in San Francisco, where he always knew he was meant to be. He built Kells SF from the ground up, and has worked sleepless nights, ever since I could remember, making sure everything was running smoothly and everyone is having a good time.

With Kells, I see it as my dad bringing a piece of home with him, which I know was not easy for him to leave. But I'm glad he was able to do so and thrive, of course with the help of this community. Thank you.

Over the years, Kells has become a local establishment in the heart of the Barbary Coast.

However, when you walk into Kells, you will feel as if you have been transported to Ireland. With dark wood interior, you would find at your typical Irish pub, that contrasts with the friendly warm atmosphere of the staff and the local community. This is the perfect place to get your pub food fix, or for a night out with all your friends!
